EMDR THERAPY
Ongoing EMDR therapy consists of 90-minute to three-hour sessions at my office in downtown Seattle or by video anywhere you are in Washington, Florida, or Alaska, at a frequency that works best for you. While there is no “typical” client, folks most commonly meet with me weekly for 90-minute sessions for ongoing therapy. Others prefer to meet on a more irregular schedule, taking advantage of the option to do three-hour sessions. Another popular option is to meet for three consecutive weeks, then take a week or two off. This enables folks to work hard, then take a break to integrate healing and insights into daily life.
Ongoing therapy begins with the Standard Intake which includes a comprehensive workbook. To make best use of our time together, you will be invited to complete it and send to me for review prior to our first session. The purpose of the workbook is to enable me to get a clear picture of issues that may be addressed and serves as a guide for treatment planning. I will spend three hours reviewing your workbook prior to our first session so we can hit the ground running. We will then have two hours to meet together to create a treatment plan.
